NJ Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee hearing on the impact of Hurricane Sandy

On Wednesday, December 5, I attended the NJ Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee hearing on the impact of Hurricane Sandy on NJ Utility and communications services restoration efforts. Through the office of Senate President Sweeney, I was afforded the opportunity to testify. My statement and Local 827’s press release will be posted today on our website. I have been made aware that Verizon is using this storm recovery to charge work under the code of (KCO) that is not storm related. I need some examples from each unit where this is going on. Actual work orders, showing type of work and location,  pictures if possible. Please get this information to me as soon as possible. I will be meeting with some of the Senate’s who sit on this committee within the next few weeks.

In unity,

William D. Huber

President/Business Manager

IBEW Local 827
