Retiree meetings are going on across the state during April, these are the Spring meetings. The Retirees committee has two meetings, Spring and Fall, each year. Chairman Ed Johnson has done a fabulous job in energizing this meetings and making them interesting. Ed is working on some innovative ideas such as "Vials for Life", blood donation, glaucoma screenings etc. Check out the link for retirees on this web and come out to see us. You Union officers also attend these meetings. You are one our most valuable assets. Not only did you help build Verizon into the company that it is today, you helped build the Union. You earned these benefits that we enjoy. Stay involved. As you saw, the company hasn't forgotten that you are out there. Retiree benefits were front and center at bargaining.   It is always great to meet the people behind the phone calls, catch up with the many "returning faces", and also some newly retired members. Good Luck and Good Health! I try to discuss important information that affects you, the retiree. This is a great opportunity for me to find out what is concerning you also.
