Our AWP Brothers and Sisters are going through some tough times. There is limited work for crews due to the slowing down of the build in Verizon ( FTTP), as well as a slow time of year for NJR and JCP&L.

The Union along with AWP management has been talking to Verizon about using our crews on a more consistent basis. We have also been attempting to coax Verizon into signing a new contract with the AWP Company in the efforts to get some more guaranteed work.

In discussions with Verizon we understand the build will heat up in March and I am sure that will land us some steady hours.

I would like to congratulate Tim Haggerty on his election to the Alternate Stewards position he won by an overwhelming majority.

The new Collective Bargaining Agreements are at the printer and they should be in your hands before the end of March.
