The IBEW and CWA bargaining teams spent the day on multiple conference calls. Accountants, actuaries and attorneys from both Unions were involved in trying to resolve the retiree healthcare issue through a Taft/Hartley Trust. IBEW Telephone Director Martha Pultar and IBEW International Representative Bob Erickson offered assistance and advice to the bargaining team. IBEW President Ed Hill has made additional IBEW resources available to us.

 

Unfortunately as of this late date, this issue along with others remain unresolved. It is very apparent that the company is not serious about resolving the active and retiree healthcare issue. 

 

The joint IBEW / CWA bargaining team will meet Thursday morning. An afternoon bargaining session is planned with the company.
