The IBEW/CWA joint Healthcare committee met this morning to explore healthcare cost containment.  Later in the day the IBEW and CWA met with the Employee Growth and Development. The discussions involved how much funding will need be needed over the life of the agreement to keep Certification Training and training and retraining for our surplus and laid off members. 

 

On Thursday the IBEW/CWA bargaining team will present a comprehensive economic package to the company.

 
Strike authorization ballots have been mailed. Please vote yes and mail back as soon as possible. The bargaining team needs a positive response in order to bargain a fair contract.  Remember the company proposals on the table includes massive give backs in active and retiree healthcare, involuntary furloughs, significant reduction in Termination payments, a 2% increase in pensions and a 3% salary raise for the length of the contract. IBEW Bargaining Team
