Avaya Update 9                                                                                       May 15, 2009     Unity bargaining continued today in Washington DC   The joint IBEW/CWA team met with Avaya at the main bargaining table this morning.  The Unions proposed higher wages, pension band increases, improvements on the 401k, termination pay improvements, successorship language, card check and rejected the company's proposal for the two week furlough.  We are still waiting for information from the company concerning the Medical Plan and the Certification Program in order to create counter proposals.     The IBEW team will meet with Avaya on Monday morning on IBEW issues and the full table is scheduled to convene at 2pm.     The IBEW Bargaining Team
