1 17 09 Comcast Tom's River Bargaining Update 5:33PM

 

Despite all of the Local 827 Bargaining Team's best efforts to try to reach a contract today, it seems Comcast has no such intention.  It is apparent that Comcast is interested only in give backs, spurred by its stated desire to bring our members down to non-represented workers wages and working conditions (the company calls it 'uniformity').  We will have to dig in and stand our ground.  We have tried to bargain a fair and equitable contract, and have moved with good faith and dignity, but this company is not interested.  The bargaining clock remains 'stopped', if you are scheduled to work, please report as normal.
